Champions League Round of 16 Leg 2 Odds & Predictions: Betting Preview (Mar 17-18)

The first legs delivered chaos, drama, and some truly jaw-dropping scorelines. Bayern Munich put six past Atalanta. Atlético demolished Tottenham 5-2. PSG hammered Chelsea by the same margin. Real Madrid silenced the Etihad with a 3-0 shutout. And Bodø/Glimt's fairy tale continued with a stunning 3-0 win over Sporting CP.

Now the seeded teams host the second legs, and while several ties look all but over, others are wide open. Can Chelsea pull off the comeback of the season at Stamford Bridge? Will Liverpool overturn a narrow deficit at Anfield? And is there any scenario where Tottenham avoid total humiliation?

🔥 Wednesday Cross Boost

Three of Wednesday's blockbusters in one boosted accumulator:

Both Teams To Score In All Matches (Arsenal vs Leverkusen, Chelsea vs PSG, Man City vs Real Madrid) - 5.50 (boosted from 4.50)

Arsenal vs Leverkusen finished 1-1 in the first leg, BTTS is almost guaranteed at the Emirates. Chelsea need to attack PSG and will inevitably concede on the counter. And Man City vs Real Madrid has produced goals in every single knockout meeting since 2022. At 5.50, this looks like outstanding value for what should be three open, attack-minded second legs.

⚽ Sporting CP vs Bodø/Glimt | 18:45 CET

First Leg: Bodø/Glimt 3-0 Sporting CP

Sporting CPDrawBodø/Glimt
1.465.405.55

The fairy tale continues. Bodø/Glimt produced yet another sensational performance in the Arctic Circle, dismantling Sporting CP 3-0 at Aspmyra Stadion. Sondre Fet converted a penalty, Ole Didrik Blomberg doubled the lead before half-time, and Kasper Høgh sealed it in the second half, with Jens Petter Hauge pulling the strings throughout. It was Bodø's fifth consecutive Champions League victory, making them only the fifth team from outside Europe's top five leagues to achieve that feat.

Sporting now need a miracle at the Estádio José Alvalade. The Portuguese champions did beat PSG 2-1 at home in the league phase, so they're capable of big European nights in Lisbon. Luis Suárez has been their talisman, and the crowd will be desperate to create a hostile atmosphere. But Bodø/Glimt have lost just once on the road in this season's Champions League (at Galatasaray by two goals), meaning even a 2-0 Sporting win would only level the tie.

Expect Sporting to dominate possession and create chances, but Bodø/Glimt's counter-attacking threat is lethal. The Norwegian side should be celebrating a place in the quarter-finals come full-time.

🔥 Odds Boost: Bodø/Glimt To Win & Ole Didrik Blomberg To Score Or Assist - 7.50 (boosted from 6.50)

You Name It, We Price It:

  • 3+ Goals, 4+ Cards & 9+ Corners In The Match - 3.25
  • Sporting To Score 2+ Goals, Take 6+ Corners & Bodø/Glimt To Be Shown 3+ Cards - 3.75
  • In Each Half: Sporting To Score, Take 2+ Corners & Bodø/Glimt To Be Shown A Card - 4.50

⚽ Arsenal vs Leverkusen | 21:00 CET

First Leg: Leverkusen 1-1 Arsenal

ArsenalDrawLeverkusen
1.266.1010.75

A 1-1 draw at the BayArena was a solid result for Arsenal, who maintain their perfect record in this season's Champions League (eight wins, one draw from nine matches). The Gunners were compact and disciplined away from home, and now return to the Emirates, a fortress where they've been virtually untouchable in Europe.

Leverkusen will need the performance of their lives to get anything from north London. Kasper Hjulmand's side are outside the Champions League spots in the Bundesliga and, while Patrik Schick and Álex Grimaldo can trouble anyone, Leverkusen's squad simply isn't at the level of Xabi Alonso's title-winning team from two seasons ago.

Arsenal are overwhelming favorites here. Viktor Gyökeres has been lethal in front of goal, and Mikel Arteta's side have the defensive solidity, tactical discipline, and depth to close this out comfortably. The question isn't whether Arsenal qualify, it's by how many.

🔥 Mega Boost: Arsenal To Win & Gyökeres To Have 2+ Shots On Target - 6.00 (boosted from 5.00)

You Name It, We Price It:

  • Saka To Have 2+ Goal Involvements (Goals & Assists) - 3.50
  • 3+ Goals, 4+ Cards & 9+ Corners In The Match - 4.25
  • In Each Half: Arsenal To Have 3+ Shots On Target & Leverkusen To Be Shown A Card - 4.50
  • Leverkusen To Have 2+ Shots On Target In Each Half - 5.00

⚽ Chelsea vs PSG | 21:00 CET

First Leg: PSG 5-2 Chelsea

ChelseaDrawPSG
2.054.153.10

The Club World Cup final rematch turned into a nightmare for Chelsea. Ousmane Dembélé was sensational on his return from injury, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored twice late on, and Vitinha added to the rout as PSG dismantled Chelsea 5-2 at the Parc des Princes. A goalkeeper error from Jørgensen gifted PSG their third and effectively killed the tie.

Chelsea's task at Stamford Bridge is enormous: they need to overturn a three-goal deficit against the defending Champions League holders. The Blues showed fight in Paris, they did score twice, but their chronic discipline issues (nine red cards this season) and defensive fragility make a comeback almost impossible against PSG's quality.

PSG can afford to sit deep and play on the counter, which plays perfectly into their strengths. Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia, and Hakimi are devastating in transition. Chelsea will push forward, create chances, and likely score, but expecting them to keep PSG scoreless for 90 minutes feels unrealistic.

Expect Chelsea to win the match on the night, but PSG to progress comfortably on aggregate.

🔥 Odds Boost: PSG To Win & Dembélé To Score 1st - 12.00 (boosted from 10.00)

You Name It, We Price It:

  • In Each Half: A Goal Scored, 4+ Corners & A Card Shown — 3.00
  • 4+ Goals, 4+ Cards & 9+ Corners In The Match — 4.25
  • Palmer To Have 2+ Goal Involvements (Goals & Assists) — 4.50
  • PSG To Have 3+ Shots On Target In Each Half — 5.00

⚽ Man City vs Real Madrid | 21:00 CET

First Leg: Real Madrid 3-0 Man City

Man CityDrawReal Madrid
1.455.155.70

To Qualify: Real Madrid 1.15 | Man City 5.00

The modern Champions League classic delivered again, but this time it was entirely one-sided. Real Madrid were sensational at the Bernabéu, dismantling Pep Guardiola's City 3-0 in a performance that sent shockwaves through European football. The depleted Spanish side found another gear, and Man City simply had no answer.

Now City need to overturn a three-goal deficit at the Etihad. It's a mountain that looks almost impossible to climb, even with home advantage and Erling Haaland leading the line. Real Madrid have vast experience of managing knockout leads, and their record in two-legged ties when winning the first leg is historically dominant.

City will throw everything forward from the first minute, Haaland, Semenyo, and the full-backs will all push high, but that leaves space for Real Madrid's counter-attacking quality. Even if Kylian Mbappé remains doubtful, the likes of Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo are more than capable of killing the tie with an away goal.

Expect City to win on the night, but Real Madrid to progress.

🔥 Mega Boost: Manchester City To Win & Semenyo To Have 2+ Shots On Target - 3.00 (boosted from 2.25)

You Name It, We Price It:

  • Manchester City To Qualify & Haaland To Have A Shot On Target In Each Half - 5.00
  • Real Madrid To Win & Vinícius Júnior To Score Or Assist - 6.00

⚽ Barcelona vs Newcastle | 18:45 CET

First Leg: Newcastle 1-1 Barcelona

BarcelonaDrawNewcastle
1.564.755.00

A dramatic 1-1 draw at St. James' Park keeps this tie perfectly alive. Harvey Barnes broke the deadlock in the 86th minute for Newcastle, but Lamine Yamal converted a stoppage-time penalty (90+6') to rescue a crucial away goal for Barcelona. That late equalizer shifts the momentum firmly to the Camp Nou, where Barça now only need to avoid defeat to progress.

Newcastle will need to score in Spain, something they've struggled to do consistently against Europe's elite this season. Anthony Gordon remains their biggest threat, and Eddie Howe will set up to be compact and hit on the counter. But Barcelona at home with an away goal advantage is a daunting proposition. Yamal, Marcus Rashford, and Fermín López give Hansi Flick's side enough firepower to control this tie.

Barcelona should close this out, though Newcastle's physicality and set-piece threat mean it won't be comfortable.

🆕 Welcome Offer Super Boost (New Customers - $10 Max Wager): Barcelona To Qualify & Yamal To Have A Shot On Target vs Newcastle - 5.00 (boosted from 1.50)

⚽ Bayern Munich vs Atalanta | 21:00 CET

First Leg: Atalanta 1-6 Bayern Munich

Bayern MunichDrawAtalanta
1.355.857.20

This tie is over. Bayern Munich's 6-1 demolition of Atalanta in Bergamo was one of the most comprehensive away performances in Champions League history. Michael Olise scored twice, Serge Gnabry, Nicolas Jackson, Jamal Musiala, and Josip Stanišić all found the net in a breathtaking display. Mario Pašalić's injury-time consolation goal was the only blot on an otherwise perfect night for the tournament favorites.

At the Allianz Arena, this is a procession. Bayern will rotate heavily, rest key players for the upcoming Bundesliga and quarter-final fixtures, and still likely win. Atalanta's sole objective is damage limitation and avoiding further embarrassment.

The only real betting interest here is the correct score and total goals markets. Bayern's B-team is still better than most sides in Europe.

🔥 Odds Boost: Bayern Munich To Score 3+ Goals & Take 6+ Corners - 3.25 (boosted from 2.75)

Will Atalanta Qualify v Bayern Munich? Yes 101.00 | No 1.01 - perhaps the most one-sided PREDICT market you'll ever see.

You Name It, We Price It:

  • 4+ Match Goals & Atalanta To Be Shown 2+ Cards - 3.25
  • Luis Díaz To Have A Shot On Target In Each Half & Bayern Munich To Take 5+ Corners - 4.25
  • 4+ Goals, 3+ Cards & 10+ Corners In The Match - 4.50

⚽ Liverpool vs Galatasaray | 21:00 CET

First Leg: Galatasaray 1-0 Liverpool

LiverpoolDrawGalatasaray
1.286.209.60

Mario Lemina's early seventh-minute goal gave Galatasaray a narrow 1-0 first-leg advantage, a result that is far from insurmountable for Liverpool at Anfield. In fact, this is exactly the kind of scenario where Anfield is at its most dangerous: the famous European nights where the Kop sucks the ball towards goal.

Liverpool have been here before, multiple times. From Istanbul 2005 to Barcelona 2019, Anfield comeback nights are the stuff of legend. Arne Slot will set up to attack from the first whistle, and with Mohamed Salah, the front line has the quality to blow Galatasaray away.

Galatasaray's game plan is clear: defend deep, frustrate Liverpool, and hit on the counter through Victor Osimhen. If they can grab an early away goal, the tie becomes genuinely complicated. But Liverpool at home as heavy favorites should have too much quality. Expect a commanding Liverpool victory.

🔥 Odds Boost: Liverpool To Win & Ekitike To Score 1st - 4.50 (boosted from 4.00)

You Name It, We Price It:

  • Salah To Score Or Assist & Each Team To Be Shown 2+ Cards - 3.25
  • Liverpool To Win By 2+ Goals & Ekitike To Have A Shot On Target In Each Half - 4.00
  • Galatasaray To Win Or Draw & Victor Osimhen To Score Or Be Shown A Card - 4.50
  • Liverpool To Score 3+ Goals & Take 4+ Corners In Each Half - 4.75

⚽ Tottenham vs Atlético Madrid | 21:00 CET

First Leg: Atlético Madrid 5-2 Tottenham

TottenhamDrawAtlético
2.553.702.55

Tottenham were massacred at the Metropolitano. Marcos Llorente opened the scoring after just six minutes, and by the 22nd minute it was 4-1 thanks to goals from Griezmann, Álvarez (who added a second later), and Le Normand. Pedro Porro's strike gave Spurs brief hope, but Atlético's quality was simply overwhelming.

Spurs haven't won a Premier League match in 2026 and are in genuine relegation danger domestically. Their interim manager has failed to inspire any kind of turnaround, and the defensive frailties that have plagued them all season were ruthlessly exposed by Simeone's side. Overturning a three-goal deficit against one of Europe's most streetwise defensive teams is essentially impossible.

The only intrigue here is whether Tottenham can salvage some pride at home. They averaged over two goals per game in the league phase, so they'll likely score, but Atlético will be content to absorb pressure and kill the game with their experience. Expect a competitive match on the night, with Atlético advancing comfortably.

🔥 Odds Boost: Both Teams To Score & Both Teams To Receive 2+ Cards - 4.00 (boosted from 3.50)

You Name It, We Price It:

  • Atlético Madrid To Have 6+ Shots On Target & Kolo Muani To Commit 2+ Fouls - 3.50
  • 4+ Goals & 4+ Cards Shown In The Match - 3.75
  • Sørloth To Have A Shot On Target In Each Half & Álvarez To Score Or Assist - 5.00

Any outfield player to play in goal for Bayern vs Atalanta? Yes 11.00 | No 1.05

Will an English team win the Champions League? Yes 2.60 | No 1.50

With Arsenal looking imperious, Liverpool strong, and Man City still alive (just), there's a realistic chance an English club lifts the trophy in Budapest. But Bayern's first-leg demolition and Real Madrid's resilience make them the clear threats. At 2.60, yes feels like value given five of the remaining English clubs should progress.
